Vakken Kisurit in English
FUN MIXED-TEAM HOCKEY, with zero skill level requirement, WELCOME!
Have you always wanted to play hockey, but starting as an adult seems difficult? Outdoor ice skating is fun, but the season is very short?
Now you have an opportunity to play (zero skill level requirement) and also ask your parents, spouse, children (+10 years old), siblings or friends to join the hobby! You get to play in a Kisurit jersey at the Varissuo ice rink, where the weather always favors you!
Vakken Kisurit "mixed" ice hockey team started its activities at the Varissuo ice rink at the beginning of September 2024. Future seasons take place from September till end of March. "Höntsä games" are scheduled for the actual prime time, i.e.
Sundays at 10:45-11:45 (rink 2).
Even though the original idea was to come together with someone, it is ok also to come alone.
Welcome to visit our practice! First time is for free and won't require any registrations.
NEEDED GEAR AND RULES
Mandatory gear is a helmet (crossbar is recommended), neck protection, stick, gloves and skates (figure skates are also acceptable). Children can put more gear on if they want. You don't need to know how to play, not really. :)
- No tackle or other physical contact
- Say hi to everyone and introduce yourself, if you meet everyone for the first time. :)
- Keep the puck on the ice
- No slap shots
Everyone is responsible for their own insurance and entering the ice is at your own risk. Please remember that not all players have all the gears and pads and we are all there to have fun.
SEASON FEE
Starting from season 2025-2026 season fee is paid in Suomisport.
You will receive season fee bill automatically, after you have joined our Vakken Kisurit -team (instructions and link below) and when the season fee have been decided (~mid September).
You can use online payment, Svea bill (+5 €) or Svea installment payment.
Season fee is checked at the beginning of each season and day and time can also vary for different seasons.
Season fee includes membership, ice and division fee. Season's price is depending on the number of players and ice fees / each season.
You can also pay the season fee or part of it using Epassi app or if you are 10-19 years old and living in Turku you can also pay with Boostii.
When paying with Epassi, search for "Turun Kisa-Veikot" and select "Turun Kisa-Veikot" (in the description "Ice hockey").
The account is shared with another hobby group, so don't be fooled by the mention of a women's group :).
For Boostii payment you will need a bill from Suomisport, so you need to join our team there, inform Laura and Laura will then generate a bill for you. When paying the bill, please select Svean Lasku (+5 €) and you will receive Svea bill to your email. From that bill you need copy the bill reference to the Boostii registration information.
Please always notify Laura (040 530 4060 / WhatsApp) of the payment you have made, especially when paying with Epassi or Boostii, as these payments are directed to the main club's account.
Season fee in the 2025-2026 season <to be updated during Sep 2025>:
• players joined in September-October X €,
• players joined in November-December X €,
• players joined in in January-February X €,
• players joined in March X €.
*Random visits cost 5 € and those will be agreed separately (applies mainly to extra family members, if we need sometimes more players). These ramdom payments can be made with Mobilepay to Vakken Kisurit's account: 3467MD.
If you come every now and then, club requires you to join the club and register yourself as Turun Kisa-Veikot hockey hobby player (instructions below).
Please inform beforehand in WhatApp-group, if you would like to come, because if we have enough/too many players, it might be that you need to come another time.
NEEDED REGISTRATIONS
1) Join Turun Kisa-Veikot
You will receive the bill by email after you have been approved by the club (may take couples of days).
2) Register (all the active players) as hockey players on Suomisport site (hobby player's registration).
3) Join Vakken Kisurit -team (hockey player's registration is mandatory before joining the team).
After registrations, you will be added to Vakken Kisurit team's WhatsApp group, which we use for communication and dividing into teams each week.
PLAYERS' CHECKLIST FOR FUTURE SEASONS
1) Hobby registration / purchase of a hockey pass
Obtaining a hockey pass (unless you purchase it from another hockey club) is a prerequisite for playing in Vakken Kisurit-group.
2) Check your personal information in Suomisport
(Log in) Please check that your email address and other information are still correct in Suomisport. Information on Suomisport invoices will be directed to the email address you provided.
Joining / staying in a Vakken Kisurit -group/team in Suomisport is considered a commitment to the upcoming season. If you do not intend to continue playing in our group, please leave the group by the beginning of September.
3) Season fee
The season fee is determined by the number of players and the ice price and is calculated after the season starts, at the beginning of September.
Players will be informed about the season fee in the WhatsApp group and the information will also be updated on the website.
The season fee will be paid in Suomisport from 2025-2026.
4) Membership fee
Once you have joined Turku Kisa-Veikot club, you will automatically receive an invoice for the membership fee for the new season (1.8.-31.7.).
If you stop playing in TuKV, please remember to also cancel your membership (inform Laura).
PICTURES AND VIDEOS TAKEN FROM PRACTICE
If you don't want to be visible in pictures and videos taken from practices and used possibly on Kisurit Instagram and website just for fun and for marketing purposes, please inform Laura.
